Endo Academy

Endo Academy is a post-specialty training program that provides one-on-one private training with a mentor specialized in the field of Gynecological Endoscopic surgery.

 

Our Mission

As Endo Academy, we focus on candidates who think that they have not received sufficient training in this field during their specialty training or wish to gain further experience in their discipline. Endo Academy training programs are held under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Dr. Fatih Şendağ, who broke new ground in the field of educational programs and made his way into Turkish medical literature with his research. The training programs we aim to implement as Endo Academy include different options such as Fellowship, Hands-on, Masterclass, Cadaver, and Animal Lab. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şendağ's one-on-one training programs aim to bring a new perspective to the field.

 

Adopting Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of  ‘Learn as if you were to live forever’,  Endo Academy is starting its training programs to make a difference in the field of Gynecological Endoscopy with its constantly developing, changing, and evolving structure.

 

Our Vision

As Endo Academy, we seek to maintain our presence not only in the country but also abroad by focusing our training courses on Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy, and Robotic Surgery. Endo Academy, which started its activities under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Fatih Şendağ, who broke new ground in his discipline, aims to lead the way in the field with the opportunity of complementary, private, and one-to-one trainings. With our innovative and up-to-date methods in Gynecological Endoscopy, we hope to make a difference in our field in the international arena.

  • Director of the Gynecological Endoscopy Training Program (since February 2008)
    I am the director of the Ege University Gynecological Endoscopy Training Program, which is the only Gynecological Endoscopy Training Program in Turkey. Three times a year (in February, June, and November), one-month training programs are organized. A maximum of 5 Obstetrics and Gynecology specialists are accepted into each program. Until December 2010, 9 programs have been conducted, and a total of 43 Obstetrics and Gynecology specialists have been trained.
    • First single-port laparoscopic hysterectomy operation in Turkey (March 2009)
  • Editor of the Gynecological Endoscopy Society website (since 2004)
  • Initiated virtual reality training in gynecological laparoscopy for the first time in Turkey (since January 2008)
  • Established the Robotic Surgery Unit at Ege University and performed the first gynecological robotic surgery operations in the Aegean region
  • Initiated the first "Gynecological Robotic Surgery Training Program" in Turkey
